While it is always safer to signal properly, not to mention that legally you must, it is not the motorcyclist who must react (unless you are doing something wrong). When you change lanes, unless absolutely necessary, you should not be affecting anyone really. You don't move into a space where someone else already is. While everyone on the road should be alert, we all know there are some motorists who are not, it is technically not the responsibility of the motorist cruising along in one place to move, it is the driver wishing to change that must ensure that that their actions are safe and legal.

These programs are only beneficial to the customer. Which is a good thing however the blind side of things is they are looser programs for the Dealership and anyone who's paycheck depends on commisions. Most of these programs are generated with deep cost cutting measures. Not that Anyone is going to be very profitable on an oil change and or a tire rotation but every discount comes out of my gross, hence effecting my paycheck. We as Service Advisor get a bad wrap with comments like"they are just trying to sell you something." To that I respond yes I am. I would not be doing my job quite truthfully if I did not recommend services for your vehicle. On the other hand I realize some unproffesionals don't have the customers best interest at heart and sell un-needed services. To many more discounts and I'll be paying my customers to do their services.

i'm curious to see how this website will do.i've been a mechanic for over35 yrs and have always been honest with people, .i don't use scare tactics like some mechanics will do. i see a need for this site because a lot of people do get ripped off, i see it all the time, but will the estimates include real time problems, such as broken bolts, dirt and crud that builds up?........once people find a mechanic that seems honest stick with him, my business is all word of mouth, also it's the law to get your old parts back, besides it's the right thing to do, it removes all doubt.....good luck on the website

How do you know which brand of pads to buy? They can be $12 or $90. They vary in quality to say the least, and greatly affect stopping power, not to mention annoying brake squealing noises. This decision might be the most important part of the job.

the tire pressure listed on the side of the tire is there to give the tire installer a maximum inflation to seat the bead during the installation process ONLY!the proper inflation is listed on the door placard (drivers door). Driving tires at the maximum inflation can be very dangerous. Don't forget to check the spare. In the case of space savers (donuts) the inflation IS listed on the tire itself.

was the car fixed? how do you know how long it took to diagnose the problem? aftermarket relays can be problematic, does the estimate allow for an original equipment part? how can you get the problem fixed elsewhere for less money, when most of the bill should be diagnostic time in this case? this repair is a very bad example compared to say a water pump.If this car was fixed to the customers satisfaction, i would say the price is very fair.

I love this site. I couldn't afford the cost to fix the alternator in my 2002 focus so I requested an estimate from my shop. I then sent the information here and they gave me an estimate of 327.65 cheaper than what my shop wanted. When I took that estimate to my shop they told me they couldn't do it for that price so I went to the shop honestautoestimates.com referred me to. They fixed my car in one day and charged exactly what I was expecting.
