What are Your Driving Pet Peeves?

We all have something that bugs the snot out of us about other drivers. Some get annoyed when another driver leaves their turn signal on for several blocks. But for every one of those drivers, there’s another one that doesn’t even use their turn signal. That’s one of my pet peeves. But there’s one thing that drives people crazier than anything else. A recent survey showed our top ten driving pet peeves and I’ve listed those below from the least annoying of the annoying to the most annoying habit and the percentage of drivers that picked each habit as the one they despise more than the others. Which one do you hate the most?

10. Drivers who leave the turn signals on (0.92 percent)
9. Applying makeup or shaving (1.7 percent)
8. Motorcyclists that drive between cars (2.1 percent)
7. Road rage (2.7 percent)
6. Drivers who don’t signal before changing lanes (4.9 percent)
5. Drivers who prevent you from changing lanes (5.5 percent)
4. Drivers in a rush to get a few feet ahead of everybody else (12.5 percent)
3. Tailgaters (18.1 percent) (I have to admit…I’m guilty of this one at times.)
2. Drivers in the fast lane driving slow (21.6 percent)
1. (Drum roll, please) Drivers who talk on their cell phone (a whopping 28.5 percent!)

When it comes to driving Pet Peeves, I have several, not in any specific order, because I can’t stand them all equally!
A. When a Driver turns onto the Road in front of You, and You almost have to stop due to Their speed, even though there’s no traffic behind You, but They couldn’t wait 5 Seconds!
B. Lane changers without signals Who think Their Driving for NASCAR and willing to trade Paint if You don’t move!
C. People who Walk, Jog, or Bike on the Edge of the Road, and They Pay no attention, and assume You see Them because They have the Right to be on just enough of the Road that You must go around Them!
D. Stereo’s on Wheels You can Hear a Block away. Worse, when the Music is obscene & They could care less Who Hears it; let alone be able to Hear an Emergency Siren!
E. Parking Lot Rambo’s. From the One’s Who are willing to risk everything to get that Parking Space before You, or taking Two Spaces to insure a scratch free Vehicle for Them, and a can opener being needed for You to get into Your Car. To the Fire lane Grazers, & Handicap Space Abusers!
F. When Your Doing the Speed Limit, (typical 5 over)And some Driver Passes You as if You were standing still, & shouts something Friendly to show Their concern for Your Safety!
G. Distracted Drivers. Cell Phones, (Text Messaging) eating Food, Children fighting over what DVD to watch in the Minivan!
