PRICING/BILLING DISPUTES — No laws or regulations govern how much a business may charge for goods or services.Verify the estimate on HonestAutoEstimates.com.
DELAYS IN COMPLETING REPAIRS OR SERVICES — Uncontrollable factors can delay the completion of a repair. This typically will not be that big of an issue if the communication from the repair shop is up to par. This also goes back to a previous blog and the importance of a loaner/rental car program.
FAULTY OR INCOMPLETE DIAGNOSIS — If your car still has some of the same or additional symptoms after the repair has been completed, it does not necessarily mean that the work was not done. A good-faith repair could be affected by other related car components that were faulty, but not obvious until after the original work was done.
EXCEEDING ESTIMATES — The repair shop should never go over the estimated cost without prior consent from you the vehicle owner. Remember to get everything in writing when ever possible.
Realistic expectations and extreme care in selecting a repair facility are the best assurances for a successful repair.
